Law Classes

Remaining Law Class dates for 2026 are September 16, October 21, and November 18. 

MFDEA provides a review class designed to help prepare prospective funeral directors for the Missouri Funeral Service Law Exam Test. This Law Test covers funeral directing laws, licensing, embalming, preneed sales, OSHA requirements and FTC rules. 

If you have not already, call the State Board to begin your licensing process and schedule your test date - 573-751-0813.

This class offers participants a higher success rate of passing the first time. Details are:

  • Fee includes course materials, lunch, coffee, soda, and water.
  • Registration deadline is one week before the class date. 
  • A maximum of 12 seats are available and a minimum of 5 is required.
  • Payment is due at time of registration. 
  • Classes begin at 9:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm.
  • Location is the MFDEA office in Jefferson City, MO.

Law Class Review - $195.00, register online.


Law Class Refresher - Licensed funeral directors only, $75.00. Register online, license number required.


Law Class Retake - $25, register by calling 573-635-1661. Know the date you took the class first time.
